The machine comes with a Deutz F4L912, 4-cylinder engine that is air cooled and features a fully integrated blower fan to ensure ongoing operation, even in harsh and warm conditions. The machine has a governed power of46 kW with maximum torque of 234Nm at 1 500rpm.
Prevention of engine failure is important and it is thus essential to ensure that the engine stays cool. It is for this reason that Bell has included a blower failure warning system connected to mechanical linkage that initiates injector pump shut-off in such an instance. The forklift idles at 800rpm on low and 2 250rpm on high. It features a two-stage fuel filtration system with a spin-on water separator and replaceable secondary spin-on water filter. It also has a replaceable spin-on paper type oil filtration system.
The exhaust has a strong frame and features a stainless steel vertical silencer. The air cleaner is made from dual paper consisting of primary and safety stages. The pre-cleaner system consists of a cyclonic dust bowl, while the service brake entails a closed loop hydrostatic wheel retardation system. The machine also has a spring applied hydraulic release wet multi-disc park brake system for optimal safety.
The driver’s seat has been designed with safety in mind. It comes with a low profile padded seat for driver comfort and a lap strap seat belt.
The front wheel hydraulic skid steer system entails foot operated treadle control. The standard fork frame is also available. With the cabin forming an integral part of the steel frame, the integrity of the machine structure is never compromised.
